Who we are & scope
Talogen Systems LLC (“Talogen,” “we,” “us”) provides cloud consulting services on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud: cloud migration and data-platform work, infrastructure-as-code and DevSecOps engineering, fixed-scope cloud automation and compliance audits, and ongoing cloud administration. We also engage independent cloud and DevOps engineers on a contract or corp-to-corp (C2C) basis to deliver that work.
This policy covers personal information we collect through talogensystems.com (the “Site”), by email and phone, and in the course of our business with clients and with the engineers who deliver our work. Work we perform inside a client’s cloud environment is governed by our agreement with that client; in that role we act as a service provider and process data only on the client’s instructions.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form and email. Your name, company, work email, the service you’re interested in, and whatever you write in your message.
- Phone calls and meetings. Notes of what we discuss so we can follow up accurately.
- Engineer information. If you are applying to our delivery bench, the details described in Engineers & contractors below.
- Client business information. Names, titles and contact details of the people we work with at client organizations, plus billing details for the business.
Information collected automatically
The Site is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data needed to deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse — such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We do not use that data to identify or profile visitors.
We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, session recording, or social media tracking scripts on the Site. Fonts are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not send your information to a font provider.
Cookies & tracking
The Site does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking. The only browser storage we use is a single setting that remembers if you chose to pause animations; it stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that traffic is legitimate (for example, during a bot attack). Those cookies are not used for tracking.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Because we don’t track visitors across sites or sell or share personal information, there is nothing for those signals to switch off. We still treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing.
How we use information
- To reply to your enquiry and scope, propose and deliver services.
- To assess engineers for our delivery bench, match them to client workstreams, and administer the resulting contracts.
- To run our business: contracts, invoicing, payments and record-keeping.
- To keep the Site and our systems secure and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our agreements.
We do not use personal information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve asked to receive them. You can opt out of any marketing at any time.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral (targeted) advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that act on our behalf under confidentiality obligations, including:
Service providers that may process personal information Provider Purpose Cloudflare, Inc. Website hosting, content delivery and security Web3Forms Delivering contact-form submissions to our inbox Our email, file-storage and accounting providers Business communication, document storage and invoicing - Clients — only for the engineers we assign to their work, and only as described in the next section.
- Legal and safety reasons — to comply with law, a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Talogen, our clients or others.
- Business transfers — to a successor if Talogen is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your direction or consent — for any other purpose you agree to.
Engineers & contractors
If you are a cloud, DevOps or data engineer applying to or working on our delivery bench, we may collect:
- Contact details, résumé, work history, skills, certifications and references.
- Rate expectations, availability and location or time-zone preferences.
- For corp-to-corp engagements, details of your company (legal name, registration, insurance and tax documentation needed to contract and pay it).
- Work-authorization information, only where needed to confirm eligibility for a specific role and only with your consent.
- Background or reference-check results, only where a client requires them and only after you give separate written authorization, consistent with the Fair Credit Reporting Act and applicable state law.
We will not submit your profile to a client without your permission. Before we present you for a role, we will tell you the client (or describe it, where confidentiality requires) and confirm that you want to be submitted.
We are an equal opportunity company; see our Equal Opportunity statement.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as we need it:
- Enquiries that don’t become engagements: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Client and contract records: for the life of the relationship plus the period required for tax, accounting and legal purposes (typically up to 7 years).
- Candidate profiles: up to 36 months after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or longer retention is legally required.
Security
We are a cloud security practice, and we apply the same standards to our own systems: encryption in transit (the Site is served only over HTTPS), multi-factor authentication on business accounts, least-privilege access, and vendors chosen for their security posture. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as the law requires.
Your privacy rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate.
- Delete information we hold about you.
- Provide your information in a portable format.
- Stop using your information for marketing.
- Withdraw any consent you have given.
To make a request, email [email protected] or call +1 (380) 206-8096. We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days (we may extend once by another 45 days where reasonably necessary and will tell you if we do). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with “Appeal” in the subject line. We will respond in writing within 60 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General.
U.S. state disclosures
Several U.S. states — including Virginia, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and others — give residents specific privacy rights. Some of those laws apply only to businesses above certain size thresholds, but we extend the rights described above to everyone. In particular:
- Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); professional or employment-related information (for candidates and contractors); commercial information (for clients); internet activity limited to the technical request data described above; and, for candidates only and with consent, citizenship or work-authorization status.
- Sources: directly from you, from your employer or company, from references you provide, from professional networking sites you use, and automatically from your device when you visit the Site.
- Sale and sharing: we have not sold personal information or shared it for targeted advertising, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the information of anyone under 16.
- Sensitive information is used only for the purpose it was provided for (for example, confirming eligibility for a role) and not to infer characteristics about you.
International visitors
We are based in the United States, and information you send us is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on the following legal bases: to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to perform that contract; our legitimate interests in running and securing our business; your consent, where we ask for it; and compliance with legal obligations. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
The Site and our services are intended for businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links
The Site links to other sites, such as our LinkedIn, GitHub and X profiles. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy when our practices change — for example, if we ever add analytics to the Site. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change is material, we will make it prominent on the Site before it takes effect.
