Our commitment
Talogen Systems LLC is committed to making talogensystems.com accessible to people with disabilities, including people who are blind or have low vision, are deaf or hard of hearing, or have motor, cognitive or vestibular disabilities. We treat accessibility as a release requirement, not an afterthought: new pages and changes are checked before they are published.
Standards we follow
Our target is conformance with:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA — published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (36 CFR Part 1194), which incorporates WCAG 2.0 Level A and AA by reference.
- The web accessibility expectations of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and comparable state laws.
WCAG 2.2 Level AA includes every success criterion in WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level AA, so meeting it also meets the Section 508 web content requirements.
Conformance status
Based on our most recent evaluation (see How we assess), we believe this website substantially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Substantially conforms” means we are not aware of any barrier that prevents access to content or functionality, with the exceptions listed under Known limitations.
Accessibility features
- Keyboard access. Every link, button and form control can be reached and operated with a keyboard, in a logical order, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Skip link. A “Skip to content” link is the first thing on every page and jumps past the navigation.
- Structure. Pages use landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) and a meaningful heading hierarchy, and declare their language, so screen-reader users can navigate quickly.
- Colour contrast. Body text and interface text meet or exceed a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against their backgrounds, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
- Motion control. If your device is set to reduce motion, entrance effects and parallax are switched off. Looping animations, including the scrolling banner, can be paused with the “Pause animations” button on the homepage, and your choice is remembered. Nothing on the site flashes.
- Forms. Every field has a visible label, required fields are marked and announced, errors are announced to assistive technology, and there is no CAPTCHA or time limit.
- Resizing and reflow. Text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout adapts to screens as narrow as 320 CSS pixels without horizontal scrolling.
- Images and icons. Decorative graphics are hidden from screen readers; meaningful content is available as text.
- No dependence on a single sense. The site contains no audio or video, and instructions do not rely on shape, size or position alone.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known issues:
- Ambient background animation on the homepage is decorative. It is disabled when your device requests reduced motion and can be paused with the “Pause animations” button.
- Third-party sites we link to — such as LinkedIn, GitHub and X — are outside our control and may not meet the same standards.
- Documents we send by email (proposals, statements of work, architecture diagrams) are prepared with accessibility in mind but may not always be fully tagged. We will provide any document in an accessible alternative format on request.
Compatibility
The site is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on desktop and mobile, and with the assistive technologies that run on them, including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack. It relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript (WAI-ARIA is used only where native HTML is not sufficient). Core content is readable even if JavaScript fails to load.
How we assess
We assess this website by self-evaluation, combining automated and manual testing:
- Automated scans with axe-core against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A/AA and Section 508 rule sets, on every page, at desktop and mobile widths, with and without reduced motion.
- Manual review of keyboard operation, focus order and visibility, colour contrast, text resizing and reflow, motion and form behaviour.
This statement was last reviewed on . We re-evaluate whenever the site changes significantly and at least once a year.
